Fredericksburg, VA – Feb. 12, 2025 – The Fredericksburg Food Co-op is thrilled to announce the return of its annual Food for All 5K, a community event dedicated to increasing food access for individuals and families in need in the local community. The 5K will take place on Saturday, April 12, at the Fredericksburg Food Co-op, inviting runners, walkers, and supporters of all ages to participate in a fun and meaningful event. Participants can also choose to partake in the race virtually. The Food for All 5K supports the Co-op’s Food for All program, which helps provide affordable and nutritious food options for the community through the Co-op’s Carrot Cash program. Through this program, customers using SNAP/EBT are offered 20% cash back in the form of “Carrot Cash,” which can be used toward future purchases at the Fredericksburg Food Co-op.
“We believe that everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food, and the Food for All 5K is a fantastic way for the community to come together in support of that mission,” said Suzie Grumko, General Manager at the Fredericksburg Food Co-op.
Registration is now open at runsignup.com/Race/VA/Fredericksburg/Coop5K. Participants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt and awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers. Sign up before March 1 to receive early bird pricing.
