Chamber Events Overview

Annual Awards and Gala

The Annual Awards and Gala is the Chamber’s signature event. Between 400 and 500 Chamber members brave the cold on the last Friday of each January to celebrate the successes of the business community.
The centerpiece of the festivities is the presentation of the Business of the Year Awards, the Entrepreneur of the Year Award and the Prince B. Woodard Leadership Award.

  • Business of the Year Award, Small Business – honors a company with 25 or fewer employees for achieving business and financial success and for its involvement in Chamber and community activities.
  • Business of the Year Award, Large Business – fetes a company with more than 25 employees for achieving business and financial success and for being involved in Chamber and community activities.
  • Entrepreneur of the Year Award – presented to an innovative business owner or individual who recognizes and meets a market need.
  • Prince B. Woodard Leadership Award – recognizes an individual who has demonstrated a lifetime of outstanding service to the community.

Business After Hours

Business After Hours is the Chamber's signature monthly networking event. Usually held at 5:30 p.m. on a Thursday, it's the perfect way to start wrapping up a busy work week. Members talk business in a casual atmophere, share a libation and enjoy some delicious food. Whether you're a long-time Chamber member or have just joined our ranks, come out for Business After Hours - where business gets done in the Fredericksburg Region. If you would like to host a Business After Hours, contact Wendy Zelazny at (540) 373-9482 or email her.

Celebrate Business Milestones & Anniversaries

The Chamber is always ready to help its members celebrate their successes with ribbon cutting ceremonies. Whether your company is moving to a new location, expanding your existing headquarters or relaunching your product line, Chamber members, Ambassadors, members of board of directors and local elected officials will join you in marking these momentous occasions. If you would like to schedule a celebration with us, contact Wendy Zelazny at (540) 373-9482 or email her.

Community Conversation Series

Attend the quarterly advocacy and public policy series focused on national, federal and state issues facing our businesses.

Distill It

First Responders Appreciation Breakfast

The Fredericksburg Regional Chamber First Responders Appreciation Breakfast is an opportunity for the business community to express our gratitude for the service that dedicated first responders provide to our community.

Fredericksburg Regional Business Summit

The premier legislative advocacy event. The Chamber hosts experts from the region and the country to discuss the biggest issues and policies affecting our region's economic viability and sustainability. Delegates and Senators spend time answering questions from members of the regional business community. The discussion revolves around bills likely to be considered during the General Assembly session that will start the following January. Topics range from taxation to regulatory reform to transportation. The Chamber also presents our lawmakers with a packet of legislative priorities prepared by the Chamber’s Legislative Affairs Committee.

FXBGCyber and GovCon

Attend our government-contracting event featuring long-range acquisition forecasts from military commands and government agencies.

LeadShare

LeadShare is a bi-weekly network meeting designed to help generate leads for its participants. Typically there is one representative per industry, making each the 'go-to' person for that sector of business needs. To get involved in a leadshare or learn more, contact Wendy Zelazny at (540) 373-9482 or email her.

Legislative Review

An annual review of the Chamber’s policy positions, Virginia General Assembly and our Legislative Scorecard. We also present the 2019 Delegate of the Year and Senator of the Year Awards. We believe it is not only mutually beneficial, but also imperative that we provide a shared platform for our regional stakeholders, such as elected officials, top business owners, and non-profits.
